The Langtang Valley is a beautiful alpine region to the North of Kathmandu bordering Tibet takes just few hours drive from Kathmandu to the beautiful Langtang region. A Sherpa village located at the very edge of the Langtang National Park then we swing east into the Langtang valley, crossing the river several times as we travel up along a gorge-like, lower section of the valley.
The origin who are living in the highlands of the Langtang region are certainly Nepalese but being the descendant of the Tibetan and they look like the Tibetans. Hence, Langtang region it’s one of the most old popular trekking regions for those who wishes a short trek on the Himalayas influenced by Tibetan lifestyle was designated Nepal's first Himalayan National Park in 1971, its inhabited are Tamang people whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet. Moreover, accompanying with the varieties of oak, rhododendron, bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls and snow-capped Himalayas make the trek one of the most diverse treks nearby Kathmandu.
Trek starts with a day's bus ride from Kathmandu through Trisuli Bazaar, Dunche and to Syabrubesi at the Langtang Valley.We begin our walk from Syabrubesi heading up to Lama Hotel and Langtang village until we arrive at the famous Kanyanjing Gompa. After finishing the trek, we return the same route to Syabrubesi from where we drive back to Kathmandu.
